Second step of your application for the Scholarship for Refugee and At-Risk Researchers of the Federal State of Bremen.

You have already handed in your application for the Risk Assessment, neccessary for the following application for the Scholarship for Refugee and At-Risk Researchers.

The scholarship may commence no earlier than January 1, 2027, following the signing of the scholarship agreement and arrival in Bremen, and must begin within six months of approval.

The appliction must be submitted in full and as a following step of the application for Risk Assessment by SAR. The result of the Risk Assessment will be send to the Academy by the SAR directly.

The following form will ask for details on your promotion or research project, your supporting professor and details on your escape. If you do not have these informations at hand right now, please come back later. Incomplete applications cannot be considered, missing information/documents cannot be submitted at a later stage.

If the original documents are not available in German or English, an officially certified translation into German or English must additionally be enclosed.

This second step of the application needs to be submitted by November 12, 2026. The Selection Panel will inform you not later than 6 weeks after the deadline. We will notify you of the result. Please be patient and refrain from inquiring about the status of the process.
